National Women’s Health Week is a week-long health awareness period that serves as a reminder for women and girls to make their health a priority and take care of their minds and bodies! To voice the importance of this week, Beurer wants to share some health tips in order to help prevent mental and physical health problems in the short and long term future.
Get and Stay Active
Exercise is one of the easiest ways to keep your mental and physical health in perfect shape. Exercising helps you maintain a healthy weight and combining it with a balanced diet makes for a well-rounded step towards prioritizing your health!
Find Healthy Ways to Manage Stress
Whether you are in school, working full time, or caring for your family and home, stress is no stranger. It is important to find time in your routine to wind down and destress to keep your mental health in check and avoid long-term health issues. This previous blog post goes more in-depth into stress and what you can do to manage it.
Practice Healthy Behaviors
Overall, it is recommended to always make conscious, healthy choices as a small action can have a big impact on your overall health. The CDC recommends continuing to abide by COVID-19 guidelines and protocols, getting at least 7 hours of sleep (check out our blog post on the importance of sleep!), avoid distracted driving, and be smoke-free.
Remember, this week may be dedicated to women's health awareness, but everyone should be prioritizing their health each and every day!
